You are invited to submit your abstract proposal for Offsite26. The two-day event will be held at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park from 2 - 3 September 2026.

PrefabAUS will be calling for abstracts in the following presentation types:

  • Presentations (plenary): these will be held in the Plenary room (main stage) on Day Two (Thursday). A 20-minute presentation or 15-minute followed by 5-minutes audience Q&A. 
  • Strategic conversations (panels): these will be held in the Plenary room (main stage) on Day Two (Thursday). These are discussions of between 3 and 5 people of approximately 30 minutes. This is a dialogue between the presenters facilitated by a chairperson.
  • Workshops: the workshops will take place on Day One (Wednesday) in concurrent two-hour sessions. The workshop should be interactive and leave participants with new knowledge or skills ready to be applied in their day-to-day work. Some examples from 2025 include 'Intro to Lean Construction, How to embrace AI, How to maximise your marketing dollars'.  
  • CPD Workshop presentations: these are technical presentations related to innovative methods and materials. The workshop will have 5 x 25 min presentations with 5 mins Q&A at the end of each presentation to provide attendees with 3 formal CPD points. It will likely run twice alongside the other workshops.


Other things to note:

  • Presenters need to ensure their presentation meets the time requirements, i.e. 15-20 mins for presentations, 30 mins for strategic conversations etc. Presentations should not be too short nor too long - tell us if your presentation can be shorter. 
  • No more than 2 presenters per abstract submitted
  • Title of abstract
  • Abstract (100 – 200 words)
  • Successful presenters who wish to attend the conference will be able to purchase a conference registration for the discounted rate of $500 +GST. 

Key Criteria

Submissions will be assessed on their:

  • Alignment with the conference theme;
  • Context within the overall conference program; and
  • Relevance and congruity to the session stream program.
